【Japanese brides weren’t allowed to eat】Beautiful stories from far away From Japan
2025-08-24 | TOSHI
※Sorry for the late update, I’ve been suffering from depression and insomnia. I’m feeling better now, so I’ll try again. This is what I wrote before.
Dear followers and readers, I’m TOSHI, a Japanese woman.
I’m getting married next week, and I’ve had to go to five different hospitals, even including a sleep clinic for insomnia. I’ve even been told that I’m “not eligible for treatment” at one of the clinics.
I thought weddings were supposed to be fun, but are they really this busy?
We’ve already officially registered our marriage. So I’m supposed to be married now, but it doesn’t feel real just yet.
I heard that in the past, Japanese brides weren’t allowed to eat at their own weddings, but now things have changed, and the wedding staff told me to “try to eat all the food at the reception.”
I’m sure I’ve done everything I possibly could, and it’s a small intimate ceremony with only seven people. Anyways, I’ve decided to make the most out of my wedding and enjoy it! Please pray that I can truly enjoy it.
The photo shows an original cocktail served at our wedding reception ceremony, which represents our favorite color, purple, and the sparkle of the Ginza district, Tokyo, where we had first met.
I look forward to your continued support.
I look forward to your engagement, follows, likes, and comments are welcome.
For now, I plan to reply to the comments.
