【This is what they call true art, and…】Beautiful stories from far away From Japan

2025-04-14 | TOSHI

Hello, dear followers and readers. I’m TOSHI, a Japanese woman living in Tokyo.

I had a feeling when I heard the song “Can’t Stop” by Red Hot Chili Peppers.

First of all, “This is what they call true art. No matter how hard it is, I want to create something like this and share it with everyone. I will follow through with my first intention. When I’m about to forget this feeling, I am always inspired to listen to their song.

Secondly, it brought back memories from my childhood when I idolized British and American rock and even wanted to be white myself.

Fortunately, at one point I stopped thinking like this as it was really difficult to have such feelings.

The reason why I stopped thinking like this was due to my traveling experience in America and England. I experienced racial discrimination there firsthand. Of course, there were kind people. However, as a Japanese person I never experienced such a feeling before having grown up in Japan. I was shocked to see that such terrible things really do exist in the world and it gave me a new perspective on my own race and how I saw myself.

I enjoy taking with foreigners and international products and culture, and when I see tourists, I try to be kind to people from other countries. I have come to realize the unique beauty of Japan, Japanese people, and the strong sense of dignity I carry and have come accustomed to and can take pride in myself.

I would be honored to be a guide to teach people about the charms of Asia, especially Japan.

There may be a new drawer in your life that you just haven’t opened yet. Even if you open it, you cannot loose what’s already inside and you might just gain new treasures. It’s important to be open to going outside of your comfort box.

Recently, I watched the Netflix show “Tokyo Swindlers” and found it very interesting. It is based on a true crime case that happened in Tokyo.

It seems that tourism in Japan has become increasingly popular, but there are many people who are voicing their concerns about some of the issues with overtourism. When you come to Japan, please keep this in mind and be respectful of those around you.

I look forward to your continued support.

I look forward to your engagement, follows, likes, and comments are welcome.

For now, I plan to reply to the comments.
