In Korea, some people (men) must prepare a house for his bride, and in some cases, marriage may not even be possible.
Japanese women are apparently not so demanding, and are attracting attention because they seem to be quiet and devoted.
■Korean men are said to be passionate, one story I heard:

A Korean man was on the balcony watching the night sky with his girlfriend when he saw a shooting star.

and made a gesture of catching the star in his hand.

That’s amazing.
■My opinion
In my opinion, while it’s an honor for a Japanese woman to be noticed, I feel like international marriage is difficult in any country.
One of the partners has to leave their country and friends behind to go to the other person’s country.
In fact, when I was younger, I dreamed of marrying a foreign man and living in Japan, especially with someone from another Asian country.
However, while Japanese people don’t interfere much in others’ affairs, I’ve heard that in some countries, people will treat you like their own daughter in exchange for having their hands in the brides’s closet (literally).
I think you should have Japanese friends first.
Japanese people are kind, and once you become their friend, they’ll love you faithfully and for an astonishingly long time.
Even if I were reborn, I would want Japanese friends.
Changing the subject, my husband wrote this on social media:
“I’m happy because my wife is kind and devoted.”
Is that really true for me? I was surprised, but also happy.

Japan is a country where young or little girls are worshipped and older women are looked down upon.
I started looking for a partner in my late 30s, but perhaps because I distrusted men and wanted to marry someone my own age, I endured horrible treatment at every turn for 16 years. I finally married a man my own age when I was 52. I never knew when or who would discriminate against me.
I was falsely accused and kicked out of a store, suddenly stalked by a man in his 70s, which led to police involvement, I stayed in Germany for a while and noticed that people dated others within the same generation… This is the story of how I discovered the true misogyny lurking in everyday life.
A “rare” marriage at 52, but still having nightmares despite finding happiness.
Let me start by saying I’m not trying to badmouth men. I just want to be free from nightmares.
Even though I’m supposed to be happy, I still suffer from recurring bad dreams when I sleep.

■A Ukrainian Sumo Star is Born
Hello, dear followers and readers. I’m TOSHI, a Japanese woman.
A new star has been born in the world of sumo in Japan: Aonishiki, a sumo wrestler from Ukraine.
He won his first championship at the Kyushu Grand Sumo Tournament, defeating Hoshoryu, the yokozuna (highest-ranking sumo wrestler) who also won the Grand Sumo Tournament in London, and was promoted to ozeki.
He’s only 21 years old, and the birth of this new star has thrilled Japan.
I talked about him too. I was deeply moved when I watched him win in real time after that update.
What was particularly striking was that after his victory, Aonishiki hugged his assistant sumo wrestler backstage, and both of them cried tears of joy.
His assistant is older than him and is apparently a sumo wrestler from a different stable. They must both be good people to be able to share his joy with him together.
Japanese people don’t hug very often. It’s true. That’s why I almost cried while watching.
■His mawashi is by Keith Haring
Aonishiki’s mawashi is planned to feature a Keith Haring painting. (It’s apparently said to represent a wish for peace.)
■Film adaptation in France
His life story is already being made into a film.
“HOPE 2ème opus des rêves ne meurent jamais” (HOPE Chapter 2: Dreams Live Forever)
It is scheduled to be released in France in 2027.
■“Japanese Family”
As I previously mentioned, after the invasion of Ukraine, he took refuge at a friend’s house in Japan. His friend and his family let him stay with them for free and even went to sumo practice sessions with him.
■My thoughts: It’s getting harder to travel far away, so…
I love foreign people and things, but I’m wondering when I’ll be able to go abroad again.
My husband is busy and not interested in visting foreign countries. For me, unlike when I was younger, it’s getting harder to travel far away and meet people I’ll never see again.
But it’s nice and refreshing to see a foreigner like him who respects Japan bring a breath of fresh air to the country.
A new star is born. I can’t wait to see what’s to come.
Speaking personally, I’m really worried right now about whether Japan will go to war.
I’m against war because I don’t want to die. There’s no other way to put it. I wish for peace.

■仲良く京都・ぶらり。実は近い
皆さんこんにちは、TOSHIです。日本人女性です。
私は夫と2人、仲良く、京都にぶらり旅をしてきました。
私たちが今、住んでいるのは名古屋近郊の街。名古屋から京都までは新幹線で30分くらいです。たまに、遠距離通学している人もいるほどの近さなんですよ。
家からも1時間ちょっとで行けるので、前日に「まだ紅葉見られるらしいし、行こうか」ということに。
私たちは2人とも京都が好きなのです。
夫は九州出身なのですが、遠くから定期的に行っていた京都好き。近くに引っ越してきたなんて、何かの縁でしょうか。
■感動の嵐！！京都・伏見稲荷大社
1泊の予定でホテルだけ取りました。
まず、伏見稲荷大社へ。ここ、すっごくよかったんです！！
皆に親しまれる「お稲荷さん」は、全国に30000社あるといわれるそうですが、その総本宮が、伏見稲荷大社です。稲荷山は稲荷信仰の原点でもあります。
そして、稲荷大明神が、このお山に鎮座されたのは、なんと、奈良時代の和同4年(711)のこと。2011年には、御鎮座1300年を迎えました。
五穀豊穣・商売繁盛・家内安全・諸願成就の神様として広く信仰されてきました。
伏見稲荷大社は、「庶民の信仰の社」であるそうです。
「神様と自然と人とが共生する社叢・稲荷山」であることを大切にしています(社叢とは、鎮守の森のこと)。

■アクセスがいい、自然と洗練と賑わいが共存している
すごいですねー、歴史が深い、「お稲荷さん」の総大宮であるのもすごいですけれども、とにかく、まず、アクセスがいい！
最寄り駅は、JR京都駅から5分の駅。しかも降りたらすぐです。
最近、2人でとある山寺に行って、よかったのですけれども、電車がほとんどなくて、帰るのが大変だったので。
アクセスがいいのに、鎮守の森と山の雰囲気が素晴らしい。
清々しい。ちょっと上に行っただけで、空気がとてもきれいで、鳥の声がすごいです。
自然と洗練、賑わいが共存しています。
この千本鳥居、きっと見たことありますよね。たくさんの人々に寄進されてきた鳥居は、ウィキペディアによると、山中に約1万基あるといわれるのだそうです。
テレビ朝日から寄進されたらしい鳥居です。
外国の人にも人気があって、世界中から人が来ていましたが、みんな、幸せそうな顔をしているのですよ。
今や世界的に有名な神社といってもいいはずなのに、人も親切で、癒されます。
お守りもそんなに高くなかった。
京都は歴史のある神社仏閣がたくさんありますが、正直いって、感じがよくないところもあるので。
■おみくじは2人とも大吉
夫は初めて、私は2回目だったのですが、神社が好きな夫も非常に喜んでいました。
「来てよかった！」
「癒される！ ご利益ありそうだね]
と言っていました。
「庶民の信仰の社」「神様と自然と人とが共生する社叢・稲荷山」、なるほど！ですね。
おみくじを引いたら、2人とも大吉だったんです。
いろんな人にお守りを買いました。なにせ、「お稲荷さん」の総本宮。喜んでもらえそう。
■けっこう衝撃だった「おもかる石」
山を登っていったところにあった、「おもかる石」です。
願い事を念じてから、石灯篭の上のこの丸い石を持ち上げるのですが、予想していたよりも軽く感じれば願いが叶い、重ければより一層の努力が必要、といわれる「試し石」なのだそうです。
私は、こういう占いのようなものが苦手です。気にしてしまうので。おみくじも、夫に出会うまでほとんど引きませんでした。
でも、いささかハイになっていた夫が、
「やってみようよ！ここまで来たんだし」
と強く言うので、おみくじが大吉だったのと、なんだか断りきれなかったので、願い事を念じてから、えいっと持ち上げてみたら、けっこう重かった。
ショックだったのですが、まあ、おみくじは大吉だったし、いい思い出になりました。
■幻かと思わないでもない、山中のカフェ
私は歩くのが好きではないのですけれど、けっこう上まで登りました。楽しかったので。
途中に、「ここから頂上まで片道おおよそ40分」と書いてあったので、そこで引き返すことに。
その横に、売店とカフェがあったのです。
山の中にあるにしてはちゃんとしたカフェで、幻かと思いました。
そこで食べたわらびもちです。しかもおいしかった。
食材も全部、いちいち、下から運んでいるのだそうです。
私が行けた場所だからそこまで奥ではないかもしれませんが、スマホの、インターネットは入らない場所でした。ぜいたくですね。
でも、店内には、親子4人、まだ若いご両親と、小学生くらいの男の子・女の子の客もいて、全員が着物を着ていて、足元も草履だったのでびっくりしました。
お子さんも着物が本格的、子供らしい派手派手の大柄で、髪も日本髪風でかわいい。お母さんも髪の毛をきれいにセットして、関西弁でした。
京都にはこういう人がいるんですよね。
帰り道も、ほぼずっと鳥居の間から清々しい緑が見えて、これもすごくぜいたく。
本当によかったです。
この私が、3時間くらい歩いていましたかね。
本殿は下にあるので、さっとお参りすることもできると思います。
■利便性抜群、お洒落なホテルグランヴィア京都
その後は、ホテルグランヴィア京都にチェックイン。
新幹線・ＪＲ・地下鉄京都駅に直結している、利便性抜群で、お洒落なシティホテルです。
以前の私の、京都の、ほぼ常宿だったんですよ。値段もそれなりにするので、しばらく泊まらなかったんですけれど。
夫のおかげで久しぶりに来られて、嬉しかったです。
懐かしかった。それに、やっぱり便利で、きれい。
バイキングの朝食もおいしかった。
■食事・高台寺ライトアップ
その後は、とある、約400年の歴史のある老舗で夕食を取ったのですが、高かったのに、どんどん食事を持ってきて、まだ食べている夫の器もさげちゃったので、ちょっとがっかり……高かったしすごく楽しみにしていたので、もっとゆっくりしたかった。
私がそこに前、来たのは、実に40年くらい前で、母と初めて2人で旅行した、思い出の店だったんですけれどね。
私は確か小学生でしたが、行ってみたら、うっすら記憶があったのでびっくりした。400年の歴史がある店では、40年くらい、なんでもないんですね。
次はそのまま、高台寺がライトアップされているというので、行ってみました。
よかったです。1泊でも、ぎゅっとつまった旅ができました。
京都では、限られた時期かもしれませんが、早朝の貸し切り参拝をやっているお寺などもあるそうなので、調べてみてもいいかもしれませんね。
■新婚旅行も京都だった
「あなたも、だいぶ動けるようになってきてよかったね」
と夫が言いました。
私たちは、新婚旅行も京都だったのですよね（京都と沖縄の2回行きました)。
以前は病気だったので。
ただ、はりきりすぎたせいか、その晩、久しぶりに吐いてしまったのです。
でも、よくなってきています。
■行きたかった長楽館
次の日は、ずっと行きたかった、長楽館でお茶をし、円山公園や八坂神社のあたりを散歩して帰りました。
長楽館は、「京都にはとんでもないお金持ちがいたんだな」と思いました。
煙草王と呼ばれた実業家により、国内外の賓客をもてなす迎賓館として、1909年に建築されたもので、国の重要文化財であり、ホテル、レストラン、カフェとして楽しめます。
リッチな雑誌にもよく載っていて、ずっと来たかったんですよね。
庭にあったのですが、これは灯篭でしょうか。これ1つでもただならぬ大きさ。
このあたりはやっぱりハイソなエリア。でもこんな場所でも鳥のさえずりが聞こえて、いつ来ても美しいです。
本当は長楽館でアフタヌーンティーがしたかったのですけれど予約がいっぱいで、まだ具合が悪かったので、後半は駆け足でした。
夫は荷物を持ってくれたりで始終優しく、また体調を整えて一緒に旅行したいです。

■My New Days: Church and Sumo
Dear followers and readers, how are you? My name is TOSHI, and I’m a Japanese woman.
I’ve recently started attending church, visiting rose gardens, and watching sumo wrestling.
I’m not a Christian, but there’s a Protestant church relatively close by, so I occasionally attend services. The pastor is Japanese.
His stories are very interesting. They really make me realize that Christianity is based on one God.
Japanese Shinto is polytheistic, and it’s said that there are countless gods. Even trees and mountains can become gods.
So, to be honest, I didn’t understand why God said, “You must not believe in anything other than me.” But after listening to the pastor’s sermon, I feel like I understand a little bit better.
Listening to his gracious stories and singing his hymns makes me feel connected to the sacred, and it’s healing.
He and his followers are very kind, and they don’t ask for large sums of money. For lunch, we each bring a dish we’ve cooked, and it’s fun to eat and chat together in a relaxed atmosphere.
One of the other Japanese pastors is working hard to spread the gospel in Thailand, which is a Buddhist country, and I’m planning to check out his social media accounts next time.
I think foreign things are really interesting.
■Sumo of Aonishiki, the Ukrainian sumo wrestler is eye-opening
The Kyushu Grand Sumo Tournament is currently underway, and it’s also very interesting.
I’ve become a big fan of Aonishiki, the Ukrainian sumo wrestler I introduced previously.

He has a wonderful attitude. His dedicated, head-on approach to sumo is eye-opening.
He’s also very strong. I’m sure he puts in a lot of effort.
He seems pure and sincere. When I’m being lazy or jealous of others and not doing anything, watching Aonishiki’s sumo makes me realize, “What am I doing?”
Seeing him doing well makes me so happy and excited.
He’s so strong and only 21. It’s so much fun to be able to watch his future and youth in real time.
I wonder what kind of person a man like this will marry? I’ve heard he might take Japanese citizenship, so I’d be happy if she’s Japanese.
I like to go on bike rides around the countryside as well.
When I left Tokyo, it felt like the end of the world, but here I can live in a big, quiet house, and country life is quite nice.

私がかねて疑問を抱いていたことなのだが、どうして日本の、少なからぬ経営者・管理者は、「働け、働け」「働けば働くほどよくなる。休まないのは偉い」もしくは「休むのは悪」というのだろうか。それを続けてきた結果、日本の経済がどうなったかはご存じの通りである。
それに反してドイツ人は「休むのが大好き」「休むことは仕事と同じくらい大事……いえ仕事以上に大事なこと」と考えているのに、2023年にドイツのGDPは日本を追い抜いた。
現在、ドイツ人の平均収入は日本の1.7倍であるというデータもあるそうだ。
著者サンドラ・ヘフェリン氏は、ドイツ人と日本人のハーフでバイリンガルでもある女性である。
ニュースに衝撃を受けた著者は、休みを戦略的に取り入れ、効率的に働くことで、しっかり結果までも出している、そんな「ドイツ人の戦略的休み方」「働き方」を、ドイツ人たちへの取材に基づく豊富な例をあげて紹介し、「実践できること」を提案していく。
ドイツでは「週休3日」で働く人も珍しくない。有休、育児休暇（ドイツでは「親時間」という)、病欠に対する考え方も大きく違う。
休みを取る時は子供のいる人の都合を優先する。「有休関連の意地悪」がない。
彼らの睡眠時間、勤務時間、生活スタイル、休みとその過ごし方……「1日の中で最も集中できる時間」についても語られる。休む時はしっかり休んで、効率的な、パフォーマンスの高い仕事をする——「生産性を上げるヒント」が見えてくる。
そもそも、ドイツでは「部下を働かせすぎる上司」は多額の罰金刑がつく場合もあり、極悪人の扱いをされる。
ドイツの会社の人間関係は、日本に比べるとドライで、顧客との交流も、コーヒーやランチで、じゅうぶん回るのだという。
これも私の個人的な疑問なのだが、なぜ日本の経営者・管理者は、「休まないのは偉い」「休むのはよくないこと」と考えがちで、ひいては、「企業戦士」「愛社精神」という言葉を使うのだろうか。
社員の奥さんであるというだけで、本当はすごく仲が悪いのに、みんなでラインでずっとつながっていたり、頻繁に長時間一緒にいることもある。
仲間意識が強いのは日本人の美点かもしれないが、会社とは営利団体で、それ以上でもそれ以下でもない。もっといえば、従業員とは、いつ首にされるか分からない存在といえるのであって、そういう、弱い立場の人に過剰な労働時間や、プライベートな時間を差し出すよう要求したり、会社を愛せと言うのは、場合によっては束縛や、搾取につながりかねない。
休む時はしっかり休んでもらってパフォーマンスのいい仕事をしてもらい、あとは自由にさせてあげるのは、優しさだと思う。
経営者・管理者、世間が「休むのはずるい」と考えていると、労働者はなかなか休めないこともある。
だからこの本は、働く人全てが読んだ方がいい本でもあるし、また、経営者・管理者に読んでほしい本であると同時に、「デキる人」こそ読んだ方がいい本だと思う。
しっかり休んでプライベートも充実し、効率のよい仕事をし、生産性が上がるなら、いうことはない。
だが、難しいことはない。著者は分かりやすい文章を書くのが得意な方で、読みやすい文章と構成で、あっという間に読めてしまう。
誰もが、限られた時間と条件の中で生きている。そこで効率のいい仕事をし、私生活を充実させるヒントを知ることは、自分の人生を、知恵と工夫でマネジメントできる喜びにつながる。
私は読んでいて始終ワクワクしていた。とにかく面白い本だった。
日本人は働き者である。それを無駄にしないためにも、それこそ、日本経済復活、日本復活のためにも広く読まれるべき本だと思う。

Following on from the last two episodes, this episode is about sumo wrestlers.
I introduced Hoshoryu(豊昇龍), the Mongolian-born Yokozuna (highest-ranking sumo wrestler). He’s the man who fed Yokozuna Onosato hot dogs in London.
Hoshoryu won the Grand Sumo tournament in London.
His stable (where sumo wrestlers live, eat, and train) is called Tatsunami Stable.

Hoshoryu didn’t appear this time, but it was still entertaining.
First, we get to watch their sumo practice. I was supriised and though “wow, I did’nt know they practice like that!” It was my first time seeing it. It was so serious and impressive!
After that, it’s time to prepare the meal.
They live together, and sumo wrestlers called chanko-ban cook the food. (Cooking is generally done in shifts.)
I was surprised at how meticulously they cooked, even though they made a lot of food. They were meticulous in the way they cut vegetables and handled ingredients.
They chatted while cooking.
The highlight of the day’s menu was the melt-in-your-mouth chicken wings. It looked so delicious!
One day they even had kebabs. They really do eat high-quality food.
They also eat meals together, and their conversations continued during the meal.
They talked about their favorite foods, trips to the countryside, and their mothers. It was a friendly, heartwarming atmosphere.

This strong sense of camaraderie is one of the great things about Japanese people. Japanese people can be conservative, but once you become friends with them, they’re incredibly kind.
I’ve only watched this channel three times so far. If you are interested and watch it too, you might be able to see the wrestlers’ growth and changes.
It’s like being invited into their room. The internet has its drawbacks, but I think it’s a great time to be able to watch such precious footage from home.
Apparently, some sumo stables allow you to watch practice sessions in-person.
At the time of writing, only supporters’ club members can visit Tatsunami stable, but it seems that some stables allow non-members to visit, so I thought I’d like to go. Seeing it live is apparently even more impressive.

ちょっと間があいちゃってごめんなさい。とりくんでいたことがあったので。
「肉じゃがを研究する」その2は 山本ゆり氏のレシピ。
こちらも人気の料理コラムニストで、うちもよくお世話になっています。
簡単でもツボをおさえた、すっごくおいしいレシピがたくさん。
最初に、思いを書かせていただきます。
■兄に「こういうのがいいんだよッ！」と怒られた、「豚肉とニラと卵の炒め物」
この「豚肉とニラと卵の炒め物」には、思い出があります。
「料理は手をかけるほどおいしい」という考え方があります。まあそうなんですけれど、実家で、人数が減ったのに、つい手間ひま、そして材料費をかけて料理をしていた時期がありました。
そんな中、ゆり先生のこの炒め物をつくったら、簡単で経済的なのに、すっごくおいしかった。

私には兄がいるんですが、私が料理にお金をかけすぎていたのを、実はこころよく思っていなかったみたいで、言うべきことは言うけど、無口で、5年にいっぺんくらいしか怒らない人が、この料理を食べたあと、こう言ったのを、私ははっきりと憶えています。
「いいじゃない……こういうのがいいんだよッ！ こういうのが……」
ふだん、口数の少ない人が怒ると、インパクトありますよね。
いつもは私の方がいばっているのに、その時は、迫力におされて、
「はい！ すみません……」
と言ってしまいました。
人によるんでしょうが、男の人って、ムダ金使われるのは嫌みたいですね。
料理する人間も私だけになったので、それからは、ゆり氏のレシピによくお世話になりました。
■本当にすぐできる！塩サバとキノコのアクアパッツァ
その後、結婚しましたが、今日の晩ごはんも実はゆり氏のレシピ。

シンプルな材料をフライパンに入れて、酒と水、オリーブオイルをかけて、蓋をして4分煮るだけ。本当にそれだけ。白菜があったのでちょっと入れてみました。
味見したけれど、本当にそれだけなのに、すっごくおいしい！
塩サバで味がほぼ決まっているから、簡単でも奥が深い味になっているし、それでいて薄味で、素材の味がいきてる！
オリーブオイルと野菜、きのこ、塩サバのいーい香り……。
身もふっくらとしていて、感動しました。
塩サバっておいしくて安いんですね。いいこと知りました。
うちはマンションも買うんで、牛肉とかなかなか買えない。お魚の方がヘルシーだっていうし、またつくります。
■【味付け1つ‼️レンジで1発肉じゃが】で、私が、生まれて初めて弁当をつくれた！
前置きが長くなってしまいました。
そして、革新的ともいえる、ゆり氏の【味付け1つ‼️レンジで1発肉じゃが】をつくってみました。

シンプルな材料に、焼肉のタレと水かけてチンするだけなんですよ。
それが、ちゃんと肉じゃがになるんです！！ 凄い！！
結婚してから、夫の好み(大食いで薄味じゃないとダメ。量を食べるので、濃い味は頭が痛くなる)もあるので、どういう料理をつくっていいか分からなくて、料理だけに毎日2時間かけちゃって他の家事も自分のこともできなくなって、困りはてていたことがありました。
そのうえ、「できればお弁当が欲しい」と言われ、ためしてみたのが、このレシピ。
洗濯物干してる間にできました。
ほら、ちゃんと肉じゃがですよ！ レンジでつくると煮崩れしにくいんですね。
味も、夫も、「レンジでつくったの？ おいしいじゃない」と食べてくれました。
この、「お助け肉じゃが」があったおかげで、お弁当デビューできました……と言いたいところなんですが、生まれて初めてお弁当つくったんだけど、事情で、家で2人で食べました。でも、つくれたんですよ。
もう本当になんにもできないような時も、洗濯物干してる間にできるので、心強い味方です。

お元気でしたか。私はやっとうつの状態もよくなってきて、新しい環境にも慣れてきました。
以前は食事をつくるのに2時間くらいかかって、終わるとそれだけでぐったりだったのですが、1カ月くらいほぼ毎日料理をしていたら、要領もよくなってきたのか、そこまで時間がかからなくなって、掃除、洗濯、買いものもできるようになり、ほっとしています。
夫の新しい仕事が始まって、研修もあって忙しいので、それに間に合ってよかったです。
■「肉じゃがを上手につくれる女はモテる」は本当か
「男は肉じゃがが好き」「肉じゃがを上手につくれる女はモテる」っていいますよね。
今回、それを自分なりに検証してみました。
■王道・土井善晴氏の肉じゃがを鍋でつくりこむ
まず、皆さんご存じの、高名な料理研究家、土井善晴氏の、鍋でつくる肉じゃがにトライしてみました。
肉じゃがの王道ともいえましょう。
私は『料理がわかれば楽しくなる、おいしくなる 土井善晴のレシピ100』土井善晴著（Gakken)という本のレシピでつくったんですが、似たレシピで下記のものがあったのでご覧ください。

とにかくこれ、すごーくおいしかったんです！！
しらたきを切ってゆでたり、たまねぎの芯を残して切ったり、ひと手間はあるし、鍋なのでつきっきりで見ていなければならないっていうのはあるんですけれど、出来上がるととっても美味！
牛肉を使うし、砂糖等でしっかり下味をつける、こくのある、甘めのリッチな味で、私好みというのもあります。
ちょっと、おいしい、すきやきみたいな味。
結婚して、マンションも買うんで、なかなか牛肉は買えなくなりました。
でもこれだと切り落としの肉200グラムで4人分できて、安心の費用で、ちょっとぜいたくな味を楽しめます。
しらたきもおいしい。
夫に出したら、じゃがいもが嫌いなのに、これは「うまい！うまい！」と言ってたくさん食べてくれました。
実は1回、火加減を間違えたのか、ちょっと失敗して、でも味を直したらおいしくなりました。
これ、得意料理にできたらいいよな、と思い、つくりこもうと頑張りました。
■土井善晴氏の肉じゃがで、夫が「あいしてるっぴ♡」とハグをチューを！
上の2枚の写真は、実際に私がつくったものです。見た目はあんまりよくないかもしれないんですが、レシピ通りにつくったので、味はよかったですよ。
「肉じゃがってこんなにおいしいものなんだー」と思いました。
3回目くらいに出したら、夫はやっぱり感激していて、
「愛してるっぴ♡」
と、ハグとチューまでしてくれたんです！！
「男は肉じゃがが好き」「肉じゃがを上手につくれる女はモテる」は本当かもしれません。
料理が上手なのはいいことなんでしょうが、彼女や妻にしたい女性だと、あんまり原価の高いものばっかりつくるとまずいかもしれませんよね。
肉じゃがだと材料費がすごく高くなることはないと思うし、たぶん、料亭では食べられません。
肉じゃがは「家庭的」——やはり、男心をつかむのに、覚えておいて損はない料理かもしれません。
それと、この『料理がわかれば楽しくなる、おいしくなる 土井善晴のレシピ100』土井善晴著（Gakken)という本、とてもいいです。
「料理って、技法や知識が凄くものをいう、大事」
だと私は思うんですが、土井先生の料理は、ひと手間かかることがあったとしても、1つでも、知っておくといい技法が込められていて、咀嚼できる範囲だし、少しずつでも学べる、勉強になる、力がつくと思っています。
「この本には、いわゆる時短料理、手抜き料理はありません。だからといって手が込んだものもありません。私たちの日常の暮らしに役立つお料理がおいしくなるようにとしるしました。料理の本は「道具」だと思っています。しっかり使い込んでいただければうれしく思います。」

My impressions:
■The wrestlers looked almost godlike
The London performance was so authentic, I was amazed.
Suddenly, a sumo ring and sumo wrestlers appeared in England.
It was truly mysterious, like a dream. A strange, exotic and beautiful dream.
Sumo is more than just a martial art; it also has a religious dimension.
For example, sumo wrestlers raise their feet and stomp firmly on the ground in the ring. Originally, this powerful stomp was meant to ward off evil and pray for a good harvest.

■The Dietary Wisdom of Sumo Wrestlers
There’s been a change in our household as well. I cook, and I’ve started to follow the example of sumo wrestlers’ diet.
Sumo wrestlers’ food is called “chanko,” and “chanko nabe (sumo wrestler’s hotpot)” is particularly famous, with entire restaurants specializing in it.
I’ve been there myself, and it’s lightly seasoned and delicious.
I found a recipe book for sumo wrestlers’ meals written by a former sumo wrestler, so I tried cooking some, so I tried cooking some, and it was well-balanced, nutritious and delicious.
The title of the book is 『元力士 櫻流 絶品ちゃんこ』(池田書店), name of the author is 櫻正行(Masayuki SAKURA).

Sumo wrestlers receive lots of luxurious ingredients from their supporters. That’s why he’s even butchered a wild boar.
His recipes include using eggs in the sauce for boiled tofu, and using plenty of garlic and dried shiitake mushrooms in his “sumo wrestler’s miso” (apparently there is such a miso. Miso is a fermented soybean paste) – which is also interesting.
Sumo wrestlers eat in a special order, where the stronger wrestlers eat first. Apparently, in the past, there were times when weaker wrestlers didn’t have the chance to eat, because they ran out of food, but apparently that’s no longer the case.
